Organ and cell donation is a person’s voluntary consent to give their organs or cells to another person in need of treatment. Donation can save lives, restore health, and give hope.

In some cases, parts of tissues can also be transplanted — for example, the cornea of the eye or skin for burn treatment.
Stem cells (e.g. from bone marrow or blood) — used to treat blood-related cancers (such as leukemia, lymphoma, etc.)
Hematopoietic cells — for immune system restoration
Liver cells — in certain therapeutic approaches
Reproductive cells (subject to specific legal regulations)
Living donation — a person can donate part of an organ (e.g. one kidney) or cells during their lifetime.
Posthumous donation — consent to donate organs and tissues after death. This is the most common form of transplantation.
